Grundfos Turkey gets installers competing for big prizes

Big prizes were the order of the day for Grundfos Turkey customers who took up an online and assembly challenge at one of three installers days during May.

The events, organized in conjunction with local partner RES Enerji, took place in three of the country’s key cities, starting in Istanbul and Ankara prior to a final event in Izmir on 12th May. They were designed to build relationships with Grundfos and installers whilst promoting Grundfos’ market leading range of domestic pumps.

With Istanbul attracting the top attendance of more than 90 local installers and big numbers at both Ankara and Izmir, the events underlined the exceptional demand that now exists throughout Turkey for education and hands-on training on the latest generation of domestic pumps, the events proved to be an outstanding success.

The three events followed a similar format, with introductory presentations on the Grundfos Domestic Building Services (DBS) range, followed by a hands-on challenge that had local installers using all of their installation skills and product knowledge in abid to achieve the fastest pump removal and replacement in a typical domestic scenario.

The challenge involved disassembling an old UPS100 and replacing it with a high efficiency Magna1 circulator. The fastest two installers from the Ankara and Istanbul competitions then went through to a second challenge - installing a state-of-the-art Grundfos SCALA2 intelligent domestic pressure booster pump.

Whilst Izmir installers only competed in the initial challenge, all winners and runners-up were rewarded with big prizes – either an smart TV or a  tablet, so all went away happy!

Following the competitions, which proved to be the highlight of the day’s activities, visitors enjoyed lunch and an opportunity to exchange information with colleagues from other companies and sectors, and discuss technical and commercial issues on a one- o-one basis with experts from both Grundfos and RES Enerji.

Presenters sought to maintain a relaxed atmosphere throughout the events, in order to encourage discussion and involvement – which was obviously appreciated by installers who reported that the days were both enjoyable and interesting, and provided information that would help them in their day-to-day jobs.
