Egypt will become the latest country to benefit from new cutting edge Digital dosing technology following the introduction of Grundfos’ new generation SMART Digital diaphragm pumps.
First revealed in April to an audience of 80 VIP customers from across the Middle East at a special launch event in Dubai, the new technology, which further improves dosing accuracy and extends the pumps’ application into a range of more demanding processes, will be presented to a 100-strong audience of Egypt’s top industrial engineers, contractors and consultants at a special event in Cairo on 11th July.
SMART Digital XL and S diaphragm dosing pumps are already widely used to control the dosing of expensive additives in a wide range of continuous industrial processes, from drinking, process and and waste water treatment to the manufacture of chemicals, pharmaceuticals and food and drink. The new generation pumps, however, have achieved even higher levels of accuracy, whilst extending application through new diaphragm technology that resists virtually all chemicals and can operate with high viscosity liquids up to 3000 mPas, as well as handling degassing chemicals.
This ability to dose a range of chemicals and other additives with pinpoint accuracy means that companies can now reach targets more precisely and reliability across a wider range of processes, event with complex dosing requirements, while lowering operation costs and ensuring increased process safety.
Based on Grundfos’ tried and tested digital dosing technology, the new third generation pumps are available in two size categories, the SMART Digital S range, designed for higher pressure applications at lower flow rates and the SMART Digital XL range, which includes the cost-effective DDE model, mid-range DDC and high end DDA pump designed to handle the more complex and demanding applications.
The launch and training event in Cairo is part of a programme of events designed to launch the new technology to customers across the Middle East and surrounding countries. It follows similar, very successful, events held over the past two months in Riyadh, Jeddah, Kuwait and Ankara, and now being planned for Dubai and Tehran later this year.
Grundfos Dosing and Disinfectant Sales Manager, Ahmed Inan, who is presenting the regional events said, “Delegates to the seminars come from a wide range of different industries and have first-hand experience of different continuous processes. In each case the success of their process depends on being able to dose accurate, sometimes minute, amounts of additives reliably and continuously – which is where the latest Grundfos dosing technology comes into its own. Feedback from delegates has been excellent.
