Samsø Golf Club’s course is a rather unconventional one, bursting with green solutions.
Here, grazing sheep keep the grass tightly trimmed, while conventional fertilizer is replaced by seaweed and chicken manure. Part of the irrigation system consists of a solar powered Grundfos solution, which circulates water through 28 kilometres of pipes. The sustainable initiatives at the golf course are just examples of the mentality which characterises one of the world’s greenest islands.
